After a fun time dealing with the pangs of artist blockery, I have found a means of smearing and arting on paper. Charcoal!!
As for my random thoughts, I previously mentioned that I wanted to make this into a art/gaming/movie blog. After some thought, I find that it is a bit too much to be all three. Therefore, it is best that this just becomes my art dump blog.
One particular thought I’d like to share, however… I have always learned how to draw since middle school and have stopped drawing semi seriously for a long time. The reason?… something petty… burned away along with the pictures. In any case, I guess it has impacted my motivation.
At a late night dinner after a night of angry 3rd strike gaming @ Super Arcade, one particular comment about me made me think… something along the lines of it “being a shame that I have this artistic potential that I am not using”…. Maybe I am being a bit pessimistic toward my talent. I sure as hell won’t improve if i do nothing, that’s for sure
Maybe the solution is to just draw every day, even if i have to force it out. Even if all I can do is shade random shapes on paper. Even when I get angry at myself. I gotta put something down on paper and complete it. And I should do more then sketch… That is why I bought the charcoal. Maybe I’ll update this blog more as well. Gives me a chance to unwind. Hell, I shall make an effort to do just that.
