Splatoon Mii Artwork

Sketchbook 002 – Konoha Scarf

Played through story mode. Found out where Konoha’s scarf came from. I was touched. Felt like drawing it.
Coloring is rough, but I’m glad to get the idea out there. I might finish it someday.

Project Hisui~nbirth 002

A bit more progress done. Something as simple as walking can be rather complex. I almost just want to start with attempting to animate these 3 motions.
Speaking of animating, In Melty itself, there are these amount of frames for each sprite animation:
Standing/Idle: 16
Walking Forward: 13
Walking to Idle: 3
Walking Back: 12
Alot of the movement is the flowing of the cloth/hair or her shifting her position. I can probably get away with a bit by taking advantage her legs in movement since the dress covers a fair amount of her legs.
Still, for 2 days of just drawing this out with sources to play with, i feel it is good progress. Shading is a pain, but when isn’t it? Still got a long ways to go.

Project Hisui~nbirth – 001

The idea came to me while i was thinkin of Hisui as usual. I have tried once before to make an HD Sprite of Hisui. In fact, it was my first post and… well.. it aint pretty. But now that Under Night Inbirth is out in all its HD glory. It gave me a basis and a template to go off off when drawing an HD version of Hisui.
Here is something I worked on in a day. For reference, Orie is 163cm (5’4″) tall and Vatista is 140cm (4’7) tall. Hisui is 156cm (5’1.” tall), so she lands somewhere in the middle. I feel this is a good start.
I’ll pos more of these as i go. Who know’s, maybe ill do the whole thing, (har har).
